» Healthy return (01/01/1970)
Hi all,

Sorry for taking so long for this update ,it has been an frustrating few months since the last update I have had many ups, downs and funny things going on with my body. I developed a gastro problem where by when I put my body under intense stress when running I was forced to run to the the bushes rather quickly, at first it was just when racing and in hard training sessions but slowly got worse and was happening most days during and out of training. Since having a large series of tests and visiting a variety of specialists we could still not find the problem or solve it , this is where my decision to withdraw from IM NZ and get my self 100% right came .

Since then I have had a colonoscopy done where we found my bowels inflamed which is what has been causing the problems we are still unsure of what caused this but as this stage the specialists believe it could have just been caused from intense stress.

Due to this I have taken a few weeks easy, had a decent rest and at this stage it seems to have worked I feel my gastro problems have improved greatly and I am starting to put together some good training days without to much trouble.

I am excited about getting back to racing and have set a short term goal to race IM Japan on June 23rd .

I can’t thank every one enough for their offers of support and advice through these tough times.
I would especially like to thank all my sponsors - your continued backing during these tough times means a great deal and I look forward to a great year ahead.

I promise I will keep you all informed and up to date.

Cheers Doe boy
